PROFILED

Each and every one of our staff and volunteers are huge contributors to the overall success of our programs. Not only do they make a huge impact on our organization, they are a huge influence on our participants. The connection that our Personnel are able to make with our participants is amazing. As an organization we are very fortunate to have an amazing group of individuals as part of our team.

This section will be used to Profile those individuals that have gone above and beyond our expectations. Each month we will be profiling different individuals, celebrating accomplishments and recognizing inspirational individuals.

Program Leader: Erin McFarlane

Erin has provided great support to Between Friends Club’s participants, volunteers and peers. She always shows up to programs with a smile on her face and a desire to provide the best program to the participants.

Erin started with Between Friends Club in the Fall of 2009 and has since excelled in her leadership role. When Erin started with Between Friends Club she had many questions about working with people with disabilities. She soaked up all the knowledge she could from her supervisors and peers. From never working with a participant with a disability to being one of our most supportive and knowledgeable leaders, Erin is a great role model for all of our new leaders and volunteers. Erin has lead many of our Sunday Movie Programs and this Spring she led our Adult Bowling program.

The support that Erin gives on an on-going basis is spectacular and Between Friends Club is very lucky to have such a hard-working and positive person as part of our team.

Program Volunteer: Gino Lucarelli

Gino has been involved with Between Friends Club for a number of years now. Transitioning from participating in programs to now volunteering in them, Gino is usually the first to want to sign up for a program to volunteer in.

This past Spring, Gino was a great asset as a volunteer; he was always willing to help out the organization wherever we needed it. Gino has volunteered with a variety of programs and age groups; in the Spring Gino helped us with our newest age group, our Adult 40+ Music Program. As a program volunteer and special event volunteer, Gino has shown that no matter what the activity is he will show up with a smile, kind words, a positive attitude and ready to have FUN!
